Jil was raised in Valparaiso, IN and accepted Christ at a backyard Bible club when she was 8. She was first introduced to the Grace Brethren fellowship when she began undergraduate studies at Grace College in the Fall of 1995. I am from Indianapolis, IN and started attending the Eagle Creek Grace Brethren Church during my freshman year of high school, in 1990. I surrendered my life to Christ the following year. Jil and I met at Grace College in 1995 and were married in 1998. We have one daughter, Emerson who is 3.

My name is Mark Staicer and I met you and Jill and Emerson at our Missions Fair at the Grace Brethren Church in Lexington, Ohio last year. I have been praying for all of you ever since.
I was wondering how the language skills were coming along (you may remember that I speak Spanish).
I am also very excited that 7 of us from Grace will be going to Honduras in June with Louder Than Words Ministries out of North Carolina. We will be pouring concrete floors for the people with dirt floors and participating in Bible studies and church services. Its only for a week but it will still be a life-changing experience. I have been on these short-term mission trips before and there is nothing like it! I have been brushing up on my own language skills so I should be in good shape when I get there.
I just wanted you to know that it is great to see the Lord working through your team and to encourage you. The Lord always comes through at just the right time.
I know you will keep the church up to date on any specific prayer requests but if there is anything special you need, me let know as I am a prayer warrior.
