I haven’t written since language school was done way back in Costa Rica. Alot has happened since then. The main theme through our whole time back in the U.S. has been ‘Getting our Visa’. The visa stuff has all been a bit tricky, tedious, and tenuous. Amidst getting all of our Visa paperwork together we visited family, done other non-visa related paperwork that needed to be done before moving, packing (argh)…there’s nothing like seeing all your life’s possessions in 20 rubbermaid plastic totes…and dealt with our house in Philly (double argh, and long story).
Instead of writing some huge long tome of a post getting you up-to-date, I (or Tara) will dedicate one blog post to each of the areas I mentioned above over the next few days.
If all things go well we’ll be flying to Argentina next Thursday. Our Visa is in process with the consulate but it is lacking the all-important “Document From Argentina” (signal organ ‘dum-dum-dum’). We should get that to them either Monday or Tuesday, hopefully that will be in enough time to still get our Visa before our scheduled flight (or else we’ll have to postpone our tickets and perhaps have to pay extra money to do that).
So stay tuned over the next few days if you care to hear what we’ve been up to over the last month and a half.
