Wow, That Was Amazing!
One of the best things that can happen to you when you are new in a community is to get invited to a birthday party. Our family attended our first today for the son of Pablo, a guy who sought us out because he wanted to practice English. We met him in March at his job at the fruit and veggie stand a few blocks from our house. Brian’s gotten together with him many times. His son turned two today. We met all of his family and they accepted us….weird accent and language mistakes…and all. Two of his sister-in-laws, Evangelina and Daniela, asked me to call them or visit and they’d practice with me. One of them is learning English and would like a language exchange. These are the kind of things only prayer makes happen. So please keep praying for our team and the people God leads us to.
