As we prepare for this trip, one of the things I am enjoying MOST in the preparation is anticipating the unimaginable — those things that only God knows what he has in store for you, and you have to stay open minded to what that will be.
One of the devotions we shared in one of our early meetings was an exercise I will refer to as “seeing God”. We were challenged to look for God in all things and think about where we see God each day. I have taken that challenge and it has been AMAZING! The ways I see God’s hand in things that I normally would have taken for granted. Not only to see the granduer of an incredible sunset, but also to see a crazy driver who is driving in the wrong lane on a blind curve — NOT get hit by an unsuspecting motorist coming around the curve. Was it God’s hand protecting the drivers? Why? Did God draw that sunset JUST for me?? Why? It’s looking at those type of things that makes me more excited by the day to be in preparation for this trip.
I still have my fears, but they are quickly being overcome by excitement! What an incredible opportunity!!!
