Commissioning

Today Grace had our commissioning services.  We were all called to the front of the sanctuary, were introduced, friends, relatives, and members of the Missions Board came and laid hands on us while the Pastor and the congregation prayed for us.  Sort of felt like the final step before our leaving on Tuesday.  It was great really…the whole church praying for us!

Last Sunday we learned how to make balloon animals as part of our preparation for the trip.  A few of us got the hang of it.  We also brought things to be packed in the ONE trunk that we can’t take in our carryons.  Thinks like razors, shampoo, etc.  We also brought lots of candy to hand out to the children.  It all seems to be coming together now!  :- )

We have one last meeting tonight and then Tuesday, we are meeting at the church and Pastor Jay will take us all to the airport!  Our flight out of Dulles is a direct flight to Argentina.

My excitement level is rising, but my anxiety level is NOT!! WOO HOO!  God is in control!

Wondering if Brian and Tara are ready for us?  BTW…lots of hugs to be passed out…”Papa Wagner” is sending Gary and I as his “huggers”!  THAT is an easy job!

This is probably my last post until I am actually in Argentina…soooo…pray for us please, that God will use us to do His will and to show us Argentina and it’s people through His eyes!

Until next time…from Argentina…
