Well…we are FINALLY here in Argentina. When we first began to prepare for the trip. it seemed this was a long way away, and then suddenly it was upon us.
The flight was long, but having slept most of the way it didn’t seem overly so. It was nice to get here at the beginning of the day, although I confess today simply seems like an extension of Tuesday (it IS Wednesday night, right?)
And then, it has been a whirlwind day. Starting with customs on to exchanging currency and then the long ride from the airport. It really has been great, though, and it is so good to meet and begin to get to know everyone here. The three families here are AWESOME and what an inspiration! I know that working witht hem this week is going to be a very rewarding experience with lots of room to grow.
So, some orientation today, and deep prayer as a group. There is a powerful feeling of the presence of God here, and it is an awesome privilege to be a part of this team. I am looking forward to getting out into the neighborhood over the coming week, and pray that God will somehoiw use us to further His kingdom and to make the job of the missionaries stationed here easier.
Of course we finished up with a fantastic meal at a local restaurant, complete with plenty of good fellowship. Guys, you’ll love this…lots and LOTS of meat cooked over an open flame, some fries and onkly the barest hintit of veggies…oh yeah, then dessert! Meals don’t get much better than that!
Well, its late, time for bed. More tomorrow!

WooHoo! So fasting is not a big part of this trip, eh? ‘)
