WOW!! I don’t know where to start to give you even a small glimps of the Work ahead for Team LaPlata. They have given their work here much thought and prayer in prepreation for our intense Pray Walk week. Before the specific Pray Walks we had praise and worship and specific prayer time relative to the various areas or topics we would be praying for during our walk.
During our preparation time we discussed and prayed about how the Team could learn/understand the Argentine Culture and bring the love of Christ to them in such a way that the Argentine people could develp the Church (which is the people)of theirs here-not Our or the US way to worship.
Today my group (Lindsay, Jackie,Herb + a different Team leader each day) did our walk in Nate and Deb’s area. In the morning we prayed (as we walked near) at either the homes or business. Deb told us what they new of these contacts and we prayed for continued open doors. There were some of the shops/homes we walked by, the electrician, hardware shop, pet trainer, exercise place, party shop owner, hair dresser, english teacher, neighbors. We prayed that these initial contacts would result in “close” relationships through which Deb and Nate could share the Love of Christ, and Christ for them as the reason they are living in LaPlata.
Then in the afternoon we “prayer walked” Deb and Nates area conccentrating on the spiritual aspects as they relate to the schools, a families emphasis on the importance a family places on a childs “right of passage” even to the point of using money which might be better used to “exist” vs using those resources to live. We prayed about the breakdown of demonic influences on specific areas and how that impacts the families.
We prayed that Team La Plata would be given opportunity for relationships which in turn would lead to sharing the Truth-Christ and what/how Team La Plata members individual relationship with Christ and His love could impact these people.
